Past Events

Metro Chiefs Fall 2016 exercise

Agencies participated in a large scale, multi discipline full scale exercise. The exercise lasted approximately 5 hours and included opportunities for Level A entry, Monitoring/Detection, decontamination, pt. interrogation, ICS, and a simulated active shooter event. The scenario was conducted with assistance from U of A, UAPD, FFD, SSFD, RFD, and BVFD. The drill gave us a chance to operate in such a situation that each layer of the scenario proved to lead to something more detailed and in need of a different IAP. The drill was invaluable for the region and again allowed several agencies to work together.

Metro Chiefs Fall 2017 exercise.

Agencies participated in 6hr. multi discipline training. The exercise was a simulated lost student in a cave in Bella Vista that was “conducting research” of the cave and failed to return at the agreed upon time. The exercise was attended by RFD, SFD, BVFD, Greenwood, and U of A. The drill allowed the agencies to exercise and train on pt. packaging, pt. moving, ICS, and working in wet confined space. The drill was reported to have been overwhelming success and again solidified our regional working relationship.
